Do I have to stay 180 days a year in Switzerland? Home > FAQ > Self employment > 180 days If you are Swiss resident, you are required to have Switzerland as the center of your life. This means your main residence (house or appartments, rented or owned), your family, etc… You cannot spend more time in some other country than you do in Switzerland, with some exceptions.
