Located at 8 Rue du Grand-Chêne in Lausanne, the Micheloud & Cie head office occupies a historical monument, the Maison Mercier. This magnificent building was named after and built by Jean-Jacques Mercier, an exceptional Swiss businessman in the late 19th century. One of the most significant landowners in Lausanne, Jean-Jacques Mercier also developed the Lausanne metro and the Flon district. With the help of architect Francis Isoz, who had already designed the Château d'Ouchy, Jean-Jacques Mercier used the same Viollet-le-Duc Gothic Revival style to complete his final and most beautiful building in the city center, the Maison Mercier.
